Sterling Silver CHRISTENING MUG 1851 London Antique Victorian Cup RARE STYLE

  
A unique and very high quality Victorian Antique sterling silver half pint christening mug with beautiful decoration. The engraved decoration is very finely engraved with flowers and columns.

The inside of the mug still has its original gilding which is a beautiful gold colour. Fully hallmarked Sterling silver, 1851 London. Makers mark of George Richards. It is in an excellent condition with no damage, repairs or inscriptions. The inside is in good order.

Some very light surface wear as expected for its age. The decoration is still remarkably sharp and defined for its age. 10.5cm height to the tip of the handle. 12cm width including the handle. A superb Victorian sterling silver christening mug that is pleasing in the hand and will last forever.
