Small Victorian Solid Silver Card Case with aesthetic style flower detail

  
A small Victorian solid silver card case with ornate floral detailing, very much in keeping with the Aesthetic movement of the period. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1856 and maker Alfred Taylor. Measures 80 x 50mm and weighs 33g. There is a compression to the body (common in these pieces) - hard to photograph and not particularly serious, but important to note that the case is not perfect - does not detract from the decorative appearance. Light tarnishing marks within the detailing of the edges - overall a nice collectable piece.
