Charming Victorian English Sterling Silver 1600s Style Rose Water Dish Bowl. Presented is a charming English Victorian sterling silver small bowl or dish, dated 1885. This piece, though Victorian, is made in a much older style, inspired by rosewater dishes from the 1600s.

The bowl is beautifully hand chased and engraved with ornate shell, scroll, and floral decoration. The quality of the decoration is exceptional. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped on the side with the English lion passant hallmark guaranteeing sterling silver, as well as the leopard's head for the city of London, the duty mark of Queen Victoria in profile, the date letter K for 1885 and the maker's mark JH possibly for John Hunt.
