A magnificent antique 1907 sterling silver large tobacco squeeze box. Profusely decorated with lovely hand-chased and engraved scrolling foliage. The interior retains its original gilding (gold-washed).

Fully hallmarked on the body and the lid. There is an additional set of tiny Sterling marks on the spring. The squeeze-action lid works perfectly, the spring-loaded hinge has strong tension. The lid closes flush and securely. HALLMARKS : Birmingham, SILVER fineness 925. DIMENSION : 10.2cm x 7.8cm (4 1/4" x 3 1/8"), height 3.5cm (1 1/2). No damage, no repairs or alterations.
