Antique Silver Plate Sardine Box Server Victorian Footed Chafing Dish Style

  
I'm told this is from the early 1900s and was called a'Sardine box. It looks like a mini chafing dish server/warmer but has a glass insert. The bottom is stamped EP NS 1/0. Looking up the markings, it appears that it may be a WMF piece (Wurttenbergtshe Metallwaerenfabrik), but I'm not certain as I can't find any other markings to confirm. It's a lovely piece and I can't find another just like it.

This is in good vintage condition. Please see photos for details. The dish is a practical piece that can be used to serve small fish or fish paste along with foods like pearl onions, gherkins, olives, or cherry bell peppers among others. An gorgeous and useful antique find! All my items come from a smoke free home!
